Experience has taught me that to become the best athlete you can be you have to train - that’s what the pros do. But you don’t have to be a pro to train like you get paid to play. That’s why I created THE REC ATHLETE’s inaugural training program, Kettlebell Swing + 5.

MY Kettlebell Swing + 5 Training Program combines a kettlebell exercise with complementary supplemental exercises so you can achieve a full-body workout with minimal time investment.

Because people are at different stages in their fitness journey, the Kettlebell Swing + 5 program includes five stages from Beginner to Elite with three levels of intensity based on duration.

Each stage includes 5-, 10-, and 15-minute sessions to help you improve your endurance at each stage. No matter where you are in your fitness journey you can find a session that will help you perform at your best.

The Program Stages are listed below along with the featured kettlebell exercise and complementary supplemental exercises. The supplemental exercises were specifically chosen to complement the featured kettlebell exercise to encourage the maximum benefit.

Supplemental Exercises from KB Swing + 5 Stage 5: Elite

Kettlebell exercises require proper form so if you’re new to this I recommend starting at the Beginner stage to avoid injury. If you’re proficient with kettlebells and are looking for an extra challenge the Elite stage will give you just that.

Performing warm up and stretching exercises is recommended to get the maximum benefit and avoid injury. Warm up and stretching exercises are not included in the videos.

KB Swing + 5 Level I Videos

Level I videos for each stage (5-minute duration; lowest intensity) are provided below to give you an idea of what to expect.

Level I (5-minute) training videos consists of 4 rounds (sets) of a kettlebell exercise and four supplemental exercises, each performed for 15 seconds.
